VEVO Premiere & Private Screening Party Mark Release Of
Denny Strickland's "Get A Grip" Video
Nashville, TN (October 13, 2016) - Denny Strickland's latest music video, "Get A Grip," premiered last night on VEVO while the cast, crew, industry elite and media attended a private Nashville screening party at The Cellar @ The Sutler Saloon.  VEVO, the world's leading music video and entertainment platform, boasts viewership numbers exceeding 18 BILLION per month.   The "Get A Grip" video can be seen now on VEVO and on Denny's VEVO YouTube channel.

The video, directed and produced by Brian Harstine (Dolly Parton, Ke$ha) for Liquid Crystal Productions, was shot at Plush Ultra Lounge on Nashville's historic 2nd Avenue.  The late-night hot spot was the perfect fit for the seductive video, with its high-end club effects enhanced by Harstine's visionary talents.  Featuring numerous area dancers and Titans' cheerleaders both past and present, the stars of the clip are without a doubt celebrity models Jessica Ashley (Miss June 2014 - Playboy, Miss COED October 2013) and Tina Louise (Maxim, Playboy, Inked, FHM, Galore, Esquire).

Hypnotic, pulsating and sensual are the words that best describe the mood-imbued piece, which pushes the boundaries of Country music's comfort zone.  Denny's deep-throated rumble rivets the listener, while his sultry looks and commanding physical presence are used to maximum advantage.  From his entrance on a customized motorcycle to his swaggering walk into the Lounge, the vibe is set.   This is a video for adults: the lust, energy and excitement of the club scene are shown in all their youthful, cathartic wonder.  "The key throughout the production was to purposefully blend Denny's distinct Country style with the song's clear Pop/Hip Hop tones," notes Harstine. "We kept the composition focused on the artist while a Filmatic pace was maintained.   Lasers and heavy color wash added atmospheric elements that were ably handled by the Arri-Alexa camera used."   LCProductions has previously created two acoustic performance video series for Strickland: 2015's Dive Sessions and this year's Cellar Sessions.

Strickland's marketing team made the most of the cast's strong combined social media following of SIX MILLION-plus, encouraging tweets, posts and screen captures throughout the private party. "The Cellar gathering was really a continuation of the wild ride we started during the video shoot itself," comments Denny.  "I just hope fans like the video as much as we enjoyed makin' it."

The "Get A Grip" single is already firing up listeners overseas and this week the song retains the #4 spot on the international Hotdisc Chart.  Stateside, the release is moving up the MusicRow Country Breakout ™ Chart.   The hip, hot and hypnotic trackwas written by Bill DiLuigi (Richie McDonald, Shaun Murphy), Troy Johnson (Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw) and Henry Jack Williams (Little River Band, Uriah Heep).  Fans can purchase Strickland's music on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and Google Play

The single follows Denny's two previous MusicRow Chart hits: the full throttle "Swerve On" and the suggestive "How Far You Wanna Go."  Denny's sultry acoustic cover of Conway Twitty's "I'd Love To Lay You Down" earned him a staggering four-week #1 run on the Hotdisc Chart.  Strickland performs across the U.S. and has opened for many of today's biggest stars (Maddie & Tae, Jamey Johnson, 3 Doors Down, The Kentucky Headhunters).   Fans can read about Denny online at:  Country Music News International, Waynesville Daily Guide and Roughstock.
