Nashville, TN (May 20, 2014) - As summer sails in, Mike Aiken will celebrate the premiere of the video for his recently released single, "Put a Sail on It." This lighthearted track is not just another summer song but holds some advice we should all take seriously. It is a way of life, a way to let go of your troubles and start new every day. "Relaxing and reggae-fied," says Robert Oermann, Music Row. According to Aiken, "It's a matter of choices and attitude. We all have our loads to carry but may I suggest... 'put a sail on' them and they can fade like the setting of the sun." The video will premiere at a special event on Sunday, May 25th at 9 pm in Key West, where most of the footage was taken. Aiken comments, "It was amazing really how things just fell in place. Our storyboard included assorted characters. We wanted locals, the characters who've gravitated to the islands on their own because they got how to 'put a sail on it'. All of the cast just appeared at the right time, in the right place. The 'old man' wasn't just some dude. Off camera he related his five stages of a successful life. These were so dead-on they'll probably end up in a song one day." The worldwide debut of "Put a Sail on It" kicks off a summer long contest in which Aiken is asking fans to share how they "put a sail on it" by submitting their photos.
