Upcoming CD's Title Track Is Fast & Fun

Nashville, TN (April 24, 2013) -- Award-winning Bluegrass duo THE ROYS go full throttle with the debut single and title track from their June 4 CD, GYPSY RUNAWAY TRAIN.  The tune describes life on the road for a touring musician and is available to radio today.  Programmers can catch the "Gypsy Runaway Train" via AirPlayDirect and Soundcloud.

"I wrote it with my friend Morry Trent," explains Lee Roy.  "We wanted to capture the essence of the lives we lead as musicians.  We are like gypsies on the run.  This is a thank you to our fans for being at our shows night after night."

A blazing up-tempo tune that resonates with homey honesty, the title song features The Roys' Bluegrass influences prominently throughout.  Lee takes the lead here and his honey-rich voice makes magic with Elaine's "high lonesome" harmonies. Add in the super-hot pickin' and you have a singular moment of sound.

"GYPSY RUNAWAY TRAIN is our third album for Rural Rhythm Records," Elaine notes.  "I think our fans will find some surprises here.  We're all pretty excited with the songs, the direction and the production."  Lee Michael Demsey of WAMU's Bluegrass Country and Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine is a longtime fan and supporter of the duo who notes, "They get to the heart of a song like few others.  With their roots in Country, they've made an excellent transition to Bluegrass in recent years and Bluegrass is better for it."
