His gravel-laced voice and insightful songwriting have brought major attention to this talented singer/songwriter from Clifton, Virginia. A compelling vocalist who wields razor-sharp lyrics along with a lethal Telecaster, Thompson is a lanky and surprisingly soft-spoken philosopher of life. Comparisons to the legendary Waylon Jennings and cult-hero Steve Young, while flattering, fail to do justice to Thompson’s compelling originality.
