Fritsch's “Small Town Radio" Resonates On Country Charts & In The Hearts Of Fans

“The one thing that Doug and I really wanted to get across in this song,” says Fritsch, “is that all of us share ties to our neighbors and our community. That everyone ‘gets it’ is a dream come true for me.”

tf & rip Nashville, TN (November 28, 2005) -- Todd Fritsch and his current single, "Small Town Radio" (#8 on Texas Music Chart, #40 on Music Row), are resonating at country radio and in the hearts of fans worldwide. And, since Todd recorded over 150 customized versions of the song for U.S. stations, “Small Town” stories have been pouring in from DJs (and listeners) convinced that the song was written just for them.

One of Todd's most ardent supporters, KMCO’s Music Director Lynn Thomas (McAlester, OK), was the first to jump on the record. “Small Town Radio” really hit home for my radio station here in Southeastern Oklahoma. Every note and every word represents our station and audience to a tee," she explains.

Program Director Tim Kelly from KGFL/KHPQ (Clinton, AR) emailed in: “Since our first spin on ‘Small Town Radio’ we've had calls asking how it was that we got a song written for us ... specifically for us! We run the ‘Trading Post’ in the morning, Paul Harvey, Friday night football (our Yellow Jackets are 9-0). That's when you realize just how much alike we all really are. Every listener can immediately relate to this song. New York to L.A. to small town Arkansas - we all need our small town radio.”

“Our listeners tell us that K-101 is a part of their daily lives and that losing us would be like losing family,” says Bruce Thalhuber of KQAD Radio in Luverne, MN. “The first time our announcers heard 'Small Town Radio,’ you could see that little smile on their faces, saying to themselves, ‘That’s OUR station.’ This is a really neat song.”
